Love and Hate

Today I sat by a girl who had Love and Hate tattooed on the back of each hand's knuckles. Her hair dyed orange, combat boots and camo clam diggers. I also found a single rose on the floor that had been there for quite some time. Upon my departure from the bus, walking through the parking lot of the shopping center, I noticed a small brown lump just sitting there on a parking stripe. As I closed the distance, I noticed it was a turtle dove just sitting there. I saw a pigeon at work the other day sitting on the curb as well. With as much wind as we've been having, I wouldn't be surprised if it was pure exhaustion.

The walk has become quite easy which is a bit of a sad commentary that a two mile walk could have ever been seen as anything other than easy. Just goes to show you just how much of our legs have been replaced by the wheel.
