Today I had an angel from work drive by in her off-road 4x4 Jeep (complete with a large jack and mud-streaked paint) and offer me a ride to the park and ride on the way home for the evening. To be fair, I'd been offered a ride a little earlier by a friend driving by, but I thought I was on schedule to make it at the time and only after making the turn, realized I'd be cutting it close. Realizing this, I gladly accepted since I'd worked late to bring in a couple more deals for the day. It was very nice, but ended up not being necessary since I had either spaced out when my bus came or it didn't come at all. I ended up waiting there til 9:15 and thankfully, that bus showed up. Perhaps I was still relishing my ride with my off-road angel. I found that she too, lives fairly close to work, but revealed to me that she was not a morning person herself and therefore discounted the idea.
There was an after-work function with some of my coworkers from California that I wasn't able to make and it was probably a good thing since I'd had a horrible premonition of how the evening would end for myself had I gone. The only angel I would see tonight was the one who offered the ride. Someone must have been looking out for me.
Today I finally figured out who manufactures the bus on which I ride. It's a company in Canada of all places, by the name of
New Flyer
