The Inadvertent Beggar

Walked to the stop too fast today and had to sit and wait for 15 minutes or so. I'd taken with me a plastic cup with water and drank it dry and got to the bus stop and sat down on one of the limestone barriers. A bus drives up and people start getting out. I realize I'm sitting there holding an empty cup looking like I'm asking for a handout after getting this weird look from a well-to-do slacks and button-down wearing gentleman.

My favourite bus driver was there to greet me with a smile and asked where I was Monday night as if on cue. I told him about movie night and we all had a good laugh. Our interactions feel like some kind of scene from a 50s television show.

I saw a bike denial at the stop tonight. Two guys with bikes, one open slot and it was on one of the large express buses. The cargo slot had more room for another bike, but they don't let the secondary gentleman double-stack since, according to the driver, they tend to damage one another in transit.

So I've been listening to country music the past couple of weeks for some unknown reason. It's like one of those weird cravings that pregnant women get (no offense.) I would love to know if people change their listening habits in different economic times or if you could map the popularity of certain kinds of music to specific economic trends. That would be an interesting study.

Oh, I also got a final response to my feedback on the driving methods of one of my morning route drivers. Here's what they had to say.
