Remind me not to eat after 11pm, because that pretty much set the tone for the day. I was, however, glad to go in because the stench of daytime television was still fresh on my mind after having watched a bit of it during my vacation this summer. They call it daytime television not because it's on during the day, but because of the fact that it's not good television. If all television was good, you wouldn't have to call it day or night television now would you? You can't even really put a time on TV anymore with as many people who "watch" TIVO nowadays. It's no longer, "What's on TV," it's "What's on TIVO?" And if there's one other thing than the threat of complete starvation and crippling boredom that keeps me going to work every day it's daytime television. It's almost a form of birth control. Have you ever really sat and watched this crap?

Did anyone get the license plate....?
I had a late dinner Wednesday night and man did that not work out. I woke up feeling like heck and ended up sleeping thru my alarm so I called in reinforcements and had one of my buddies who lives nearby swing in for an extraction to work. I felt horrible that I'd imposed on someone due to my new militant bus riding addiction and that I almost called in sick because it's actually better to call in sick than to come in late as per HR guidelines. Funny thing is that if you come in and leave half way through the day, it's only considered a third of an absence. Who did the math on that one?
