Walking again

Ah, walked to the bus stop today and it was a nice change from the lazy bike riding. I actually felt like I got a workout and had plenty of time to admire the fat cumulus clouds that billowed in the sky, proud of their rain-letting that had quenched the ground. It was a welcome change from the cloudless blue skies we've had for what seems like months now.

I had a bad experience today and I'm not sure what to do about it quite yet, if anything. I continued on though and found that I'd forgotten my bus pass at home, luckily, I had a backup.

On the ride home tonight there were two gentlemen discussing where they were going to sleep for the night, the older of the two said he was just going to ride the buses for as long as he could and the other was trying to get over to a specific part of town where he said there were good places to crash. The older gentleman complained of back problems while the other clutched a free food item coupon for Wendy's.

After two weeks of riding the bike the trip seemed to last an eternity as I walked home in the cloudy darkness after being dropped off in about a foot of water at my below sea level bus stop that was flooded from the day's rains. I couldn't have been happier to see that lake-sized pool. I hope to see it again tomorrow.
